-plants  noted as Deer Resistant were eaten by deer during late summer, few plants growing back in spring.

Possible cultivar : Sunny boulevard, (also known as Deppe) a “Proven Winners” plant available near Chapel hill.

This tightly branched shrub is noted for its long bloom time, beginning in July and continuing until September. The flowers are rich yellow, small but numerous, and the leaves are willow-like. Native to North America.
