As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: Clusters of 3 inch golden yellow-orange flowers with bold maroon flaring in petals and lip. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A KEY FEATURES: fertilize during gorwing season.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Plant arrived from Hawaii in 2.5” plastic pot with medium orchiata mix. About 1.5 to 2 yrs. from blooming size. Jan. 2016: (1) 2” clay pot. Feb. (1) clay 2.5” April 2017: (#998-1) mounted on Tree Wood main trunk. Nov. 2017: (#998-2) new plant, arrived in 2.5” pot, mounted on Figure 8, bottom circle. Total of (2) plants. Nov. 2020:(#998-2) plant in bloom at F8. - Dec. 2021: (#1) plant at Wood Tree. Dead/ removed.
