As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: Pink all over with a darker pink spots all over. a white center lip. Bloom about 3.5” diameter, blooms twice per year. Fragrant. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A KEY FEATURES: compact plant.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Plant arrived from Hawaii in 2.5” plastic pot with medium orchiata mix. Plant received with on spike developing. Extensive root system. Repotted in oval/ sea green/ small ceramic pot with medium orchiata mix. Jan. 2016:(1) small oval/ sea green/ceramic. Plant with spike and a keiki growing on previous bloom period spike, along with new blooms forming. will separate keiki when it has at least 3” of roots. NOTE: water more frequent than others due to shallow container. Feb. 2017: Plant perished.
