Phaleanopsis, know also as moth orchids come in many colors, and patterns. Flowers tend to last up to 3 months and many are repeated bloomers.

This hybrid presents old fashion pink with a faint ripple pattern, presents a “Peloric characteristic” i.e. petals act like the lip and remaing coup in the center. This plants shows peloric trait in all blooms so far, which is not always the case in others.

A Holiday sale plant.

WATER: moist, well drained.

SOIL: Bark mix, orchiata mix.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:   Old fashion pink with faint ripple color towards the center of the spetals. Curl edge petals remain semi-open cupping the very large lip.

KEY FEATURES: grown for its long lasting array of blooms.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

Will re-pot after Christmas holiday in a 3.5” aircone pots with medium size Orchid mix. Purchased with two spikes in bloom.
Re-pot in 4” aircone ot with orchiata mix. (1/03/15). In bloom.
January 2016:(#923-1) 4” aircone pot, with spike.
Feb. 2017: (#923-1) AC 4”
Sept. 2017: (#923-2) same variety as #1, however, it does not have the Peloric mutation. Potted in 3.5” AC. First blooms April, 2018. 
June 2018 : (#923-2) Moved to 4”AC. Dead April 2022
Total of (2) plants.
April 2020 : (#923-1) Dead during winter, crown rot. Total (1) plant.
