I don’t know anything about this plant only that usually if there is a Cattleya in the mix, it will most likely behave like one.


The flower color will surprise me, I can’t find any information/photo at this time.

LIGHT: filtered light, medium. Most light tolerant of the species

WATER: moist at all times, well drained. 
high humidity 60-70 %

SOIL: small pot compared to plant size and orchiata mix.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:   Pink Yellow and white. Fragrant
Summer blooming, 2-3 blooms at a time per stem.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

Arrived in 2.5” plastic pot and bark media. Small pot for the size of plant. I will keep it that way for a while.
Second plant 3/20/2013, in 4” plastic pot with bark media.
January 2014: (1) 4” clay pot, (1) 4” plastic pot. Total of (2) plants.
Jan.2015: (1)4” aircone pot, (1) 3.5” aircone pot, both doing well.
3 fragrant blooms from 4” aircone pot plant. Plant leaves seem to have suffer from lack of moisture during hot spell. Should water more than once per week during hot summer days.
Jan. 2016:(1) 4” clay pot, (1) 5” clay pot.
Feb. 2017: (1) Clay 5”R/orchiata (2 plants combined)
Dec. 5, 2019:(1) Clay 5”/ repotted with ceramic beads.
Oct. 17, 2024: from clay /Lecca to C slab 9”W x 12”L
