Most species in the Oncidium genus are epiphytes, although some are lithophytes or terrestrials. They are widespread from northern Mexico, the Caribbean, and some parts of South Florida to South America. They usually occur in seasonally dry areas.

This one has no pseudobulbs, fan-shaped shoots of less than 15 cm.

WATER: moist but well  drained, 
high humidity 60-70 %
SOIL: Clay pot with moss. Keep moist but not wet.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: yellow flowers with maroon fine specks all over. Spike inflorescence grows from center of fan leaves.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

Plant One received in 2” clay pot with S. moss. Two bloom shoots.

-Flowering 3/25/13

Dec. 15, 2012, received plant Two bare-root with spike. Placed in 1.5” sq. plastic pot with sm. Orchiata mix. Jan. 16, 2013 mounted this plant on Wood trellis C (5X,4Y) inside 8”x8” frame left/bottom corner with some moss around it. 3/25/13 removed from mount and placed in 2” clay pot with Spaghnum moss.
January 2014: This plant is very nice and I killed mine by applying too many changes. I will like to try it again, most aquire more education. Dead
