This compact Australia native has pseudobulbs stems from 5 to 55 cm. long with 3 to 7 leaves at the top. Racemes carry up to fifteen slightly fragrant, mostly pink to deep mauve ( and occasionally white) flowers with generally darker markings on the lip. It prefers to grow in shallow containers in an open medium with plenty of light, fresh air and humidity. It does not like wet feet.

BLOOMS: lavender flowers in summer. Fragrant

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

Plant received in 2” pot. Re-potted in 4” plastic pot with Orchid bark mix.
Keep in medium to high light and moist but not wet, plenty of air flow.
Mounted on 4”x6” tree fern board backed with cedar plank, a thin cover of S. moss on top. (Jan.5,2013)
Jan 8, 2014: plant doing well, water thoroughly once/wk.
Jan. 2015: Growing well, still no blooms.
Jan.2016: plant has decrease in size. will wait until spring to determine if clay pot may be a better choice than tree fern board.
Feb. 2017: (1) TF board (3x5”), no much  improvment.
