Tropical plant, cordyline fruticosa or  C. terminalis (same plant- two names) known to the Hawaiians as Ki, is a strong plant. One of the few tropicals that after been flooded with 4.5 ft of brackish  water it recover.

Received (5) 3/4”x 5” stems. I rooted in potting soil, some vertical some horizontal. Both methods seem to work although the flood destroy my little survey study. 3 of the stems are 8 months  healthy plants about 2 ft. tall, all grown in one large planter.
