HEIGHT X SPREAD: ?

PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen
GROWTH RATE: Moderate
TEXTURE: bold
LIGHT: filtered light, only.

WATER: water frequently but allow leaves to dry between water. Daily in summer.
High humidity 60-70 %

SOIL: Pot in basket without hardly any bark, needs good air circulations to prevent rot.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: flowers......

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.


KEY FEATURES: leaves are about 10” long and narrow in opposite pairs. roots are thick and stiff.
Roots do not like to be disturb or re-potted.
Plant dislikes drastic temperature/condition changes.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch
This plant, along with 24 others where given to me by my neighbor, the previous owners “The Cochran’s” which I never met  moved out of town and no longer could care for them. About half of the Collection  still had plant name/description and sometimes nursery of origin. Very helpful information to guide me into their care.
So my education begins.....
Plant came in a small plastic basket with out medium. I place it on a 4” wood basket with bark. Later transfer to wooden trellis without any medium, plant deteriorated during winter (? , looks dry-out). 
-After soaking root to soften I curl root into shallow 8” wood basket with some bark and increased watering,a new leaf is developing.Root looks fatter and green. Plant died.
Jan. 30, 2013 replaced with seedling. Place  place coconut fiber inside a 4”x4” cedar basket.
-Jan. 2014. (1) 4” wooden basket, slow grower. Placed close to humidifier, water everyday except rainy/cloudy days.
-Jan. 2016: (1) 4” wood baket, lost few leaves. Improving after glasshouse move.
Jan. 2019: (1) 3” shallow plastic basket without medium, few damaged leaves and very short root. DEAD Nov. 2019
