Ground hugging evergreen conifer with flat, feathery branches and both scaly and needlelike leaves. Young leaves are like tiny scales that are held closely against the twigs. Older leaves are prickly needles a 0.5 in (1.3 cm) or so long. The foliage is bluish-green  with splashes of creamy yellow and has a soft texture.

BLOOMS: N/A. It most since it shows seeds later in season however they are hardly visible.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: Blue  round cones/seeds are nice ornamental during fall. Best propagated by tip cuttings or stem layering. Cuttings of ripe wood taken in fall and winter can be started without mist or bottom heat.

    Plant is doing well, appears hardy. Gets afternoon sun and hopefully more water now that the irrigation system has been modified after the Glasshouse installation.
Plants were unharmed after 4.5 ft. flood water august 2011. Added few more in lower deck bed to replace casualties of other varieties.
