A year cycle in the life of ...... at Stonehenge

  -May 2015: divided plant into 2 small chuncks, placed inside the Bog area among the pitcher plants. The wet/organic soil should be ideal for the fern like plant to provide some graound cover to the carnivoros plants.

Note: This plant perish once before at Mooring Hitch, placed there in a too dry spot.

Fern like foliage plant gives the impression of a delicate plant, but in reality, it is a tough enough ground cover that it can take light foot traffic. Mat forming grows to about 2" tall, spreads  by rhizomatous runners.

The grayish green foliage turns to a beautiful bronze color in the fall.


Platt’s Black is a very popular hybrid that has unusual, purplish black foliage.

Small, ¼" golden yellow, button-shaped flowers appear from late spring until mid summer, followed by tiny, inconspicuous fruit.
