Hemerocallis “J & J Wedding”

   Day-lily “J & J Wedding

                                           ID#455

Additional Information: Cutting from property along Hwy 55 between Merrit and  Oriental, NC  where Jenny and Jason Boudreault lived their first summer after their marriage.

I do not know the true name of this day-lily, I named it: J & J Wedding because of the time and place it came from.

Jenny and Jason married June 23, 2007. The place they lived during that summer had a large patch of this lily growing in the  street front. I took a cutting/root from the patch as payment for watching Jenny’s Art Gallery (same location)during weekends.

I hoped to remember their wedding with it, we all have lots of fun.

A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

The small root I planted in the Collection Bed.
I missed the flowers during 2008 & 2009 seasons. Finally July 2010, after a very hot and dry June and when most of the lilies at the collection circle had come and gone, this flower made it’s appearance. I plant to take a small division and place it at a second place in the garden

Photos below show the location but do not identify the specific plant.
