Tree arrived  4 ft. high and was originally planted in the West yard, a very sunny and open location then.

Planted in a raise bed the ground was also dry.

A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch
This plant has not been happy from the start. Originally located in WY Bed
#3 (full sun/ dry soil/ high grown bed), moved to EY bed #11(part shade/ lower grown) on 2006. Even after second yr. in new location Bed #11, the leaves present dry edges and eventually dry totally and fall. I can’t provide enough soil moisture to support this tree during strong winds and hot summers at past or present location. Neither beds had drip hoses at the time.
* On Nov. 2009, I removed it from the bed and place it on a large pot on my “Special care patch” until I can find a suitable space for it.
I applied Mycorrhizal fungi (MycoGrow Hydro) to the soil around the roots which promotes grown, and plan to use fish/seaweed fertilizer during growing season.
Spring 2010 I gave the tree to my daughter for her yard in Oriental Town for a shady spot. The tree flourish for 2 yrs. then she moved and give the tree back to me, a new shady spot:Bed #17 shade from the house provides sun & wind protection, the tree is doing well.http://www.fungi.comshapeimage_5_link_0
