In general Hard cane den. are tall strong canes with few large blooms.

This one has many blooms close together along a short spike.Compact plant.



Hybrid:

HEIGHT X SPREAD: medium PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen GROWTH RATE: Moderate TEXTURE: bold LIGHT: very bright light WATER: plenty of water and fertilizer in active growth high humidity 60-70 % SOIL: Pot in Orchiata mix in a well drain pot. I like to use tall clay pots or wood baskets.
As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: pink stripes on a pale yellowish/cream background. 2” diameter blooms close together on short spike. Blooms open pale yellow and mature to bright pink with gold background. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A, propagate by division. KEY FEATURES: hybrid.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Plant arrived from Hawaii in a 4” plastic pot in Orchiata mix. Mature size with two spikes in bloom. 2015 Second plant arrived bareroot, mature size. Combined two plants in one 8” wood basket with medium Orchiata mix. Third plant added to same wood basket above. Total of (3) plants in one 8” wood basket. Feb. 2017: (1/3) WB 8” Sept. 2022: (1 Flask) = estimated 25+ plants. June 2023: (3 seedlings) @ JCT/ mid section trunk Oct, 2023: (3 seedlings) @ JCT/ mid section trunk, above existing. Total of (6)
