Crispy Fried Pastries

Ingredients

Preparation

3  or 4 cups  flour

1 1/2  teaspoons  baking powder

1   tablespoon  sugar

4   tablespoons  butter

2   eggs

1/2  cup   milk

     

vegetable oil  to fry

1. Mix flour, salt, sugar and baking powder. Cut butter with a fork into the flour. Add the milk and beaten eggs to form a soft dough. Let dough rest for 20 minutes.

 

2. Take about 1" ball of dough. Using rolling pin and floured surface roll into a flat thin tortilla. Deep fry in hot oil. Remove when golden and crispy.

 

3. Serve sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon or with  honey or sweet syrup.

NOTE: Best eaten while they still warm.
