1 2/3 cups sugar
3/4 cup Nestle Toll House baking cocoa
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted ( 1 1/2 sticks)
2 tablespoons water
2 whole eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped nuts, optional
Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
1. In a large bowl stir together: sugar, butter and water.
2. Stir in eggs and vanilla.
3. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt. Stir into sugar mixture. Stir in nuts if desire.
4. Spread into greased 13x9" pan
5. Bake at 350 F degrees for 18 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky.
6. Cool in pan
NOTES : Makes 2 dozen brownies.
