Ingredients

3/4 cup sugar
4 ounces butter or margarine (1 stick), softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 whole eggs
2 cups all-purpose or unbleached flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup dairy sour cream
1. Grease and flour 10" tube pan, see note 1. Pre heat oven to 350 F degrees.
2. Mix ingredients in order, mixing at high speed for 2 to 3 minutes using mixer.
3. In a bowl, mix filling ingredients.
4. Alternate 1/2 batter, then 1/2 filling, repeat finishing with topping.
5. Bake at 350 F degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes then invert and invert again for topping side up.
NOTES : 1) If using a Bundt pan, place ingredients starting with topping, then batter and repeat. Invert once when cool.
FILLING AND TOPPING:
1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
2 teaspoons cinnamon
3 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
