Preparation time: 1 hour


Tips: Use fresh crab whenever possible.

Ingredients

Preparation

1  pound fresh or canned Crab, remove fibers

1/4  cup dry bread crumbs

1/2  cup mayonnaise

1  tablespoon prepared mustard -- not dry

1  tablespoon  lemon juice

1  tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1  tablespoon capers, drained  (optional)

1  dash  hot pepper sauce

24  large  mushrooms, (for stuffing only)

For CASSEROLE or INDIVIDUAL servings:


1. Mix all ingredients except bread crumbs.

2. Pour mixture into  buttered casserole or individual dishes.

3. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bake for 30 minutes @ 350F degrees.

 

For STUFFED MUSHROOMS:


1. Stuff 24 large mushrooms, stems removed.

2. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bake at 350F degrees. Reduce time to about 15 minutes or until hot and crumbs are  slightly brown.
