WATER: Once established needs very littlewater when in the shade & occassional water when planted in part sun. Less water in summer the more flowers this plant produces in the winter.
SOIL: prefers slight acid soil, loam.
As observed in Eastern NC.

BLOOMS: Pale pink very fragrant. in winter.

Daphne odora is noted for its most exquisite fragrance. The fragrance can be smelled from a distance of 15 - 20 feet. It blooms in late winter to early spring.The varigated form is also lovely because of the creme edged leaves which brighten up a shady spot in your garden.
