Less water in summer the more flowers this plant produces in the winter. SOIL: prefers slight acid soil, loam.
As observed in Eastern NC. BLOOMS: Pale pink very fragrant. in winter. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A KEY FEATURES: Evergreen, flowers in late winter with a intense fragrance. It is also Deer resistant.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Stonehenge Planted on specimen to verify that Deer do not eat this plant. -Feb. 2015 plant remeins untouched by deer. Blooms ready to open with first warm wave.

Daphne odora is noted for its most exquisite fragrance. The fragrance can be smelled from a distance of 15 - 20 feet. It blooms in late winter to early spring.The varigated form is also lovely because of the creme edged leaves which brighten up a shady spot in your garden.
