A year cycle in the life of ...... at Stonehenge

Planted as a 5-6 ft tree. Deer have nibble the lower branches, the ones I believe will eventually be trim off to shape the tree. Hoping for dwarf deer at this time, they have eaten anything that is green so far.
-May 2014: spray with deer repelent weekly or every two weeks
-June2014: continue spray & also treated soil with Deer Tablets (6-8) for systemic deer protection. Continue spray for another 4 weeks.

Acer japonicum ‘Acontifolium’

Also known as the Full Moon maple.

'Rising Sun' is a uncommonly large, heavily textured leaves–up to 8" across–that give the tree a tropical look. Its vigorous, multi-branched habit produces sturdy limbs and rigid twigs, and the autumn show of red, yellow, and orange will take your breath away.
