A year cycle in the life of ...... at Stonehenge

This plant was located at front yard pass Ostrich ferns. Plant not part of landscape plans. Deer proceeded to eat it from the start.
-I moved the plant down the hill towards the wooded area where will get more sun and replaced on the original spot with a J. Maple “Coral Bark”.
-Plant is been protected with metal cage and is on a deer repellent program. Hopefully the cage can be remove once the program proves effective.

Native to Japan, Japanese aralia is an evergreen shrub or small tree that typically grows to 16’ tall in its native habitat.  This is an attractive foliage plant noted for its palmately lobed glossy dark green leaves (to 16” wide) that typically have 7-9 deep lobes. Small creamy flowers in umbels bloom in fall, followed by black berries.
