WATER: moist, to dry. moisture encourages fast growth.

SOIL: tolerates many types
As observed in Eastern NC.

BLOOMS: Tall golden plums during summer that persist until fall.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A

KEY FEATURES: ornamental interest in the winter. Don’t cut them back until spring.  Foliage will protect the crown during the winter.  In spring, before the plant starts to grow, cut dead foliage back to 4-6 inches above the ground.

    Planted during home initial landscape, this grasses have grown well, flowered and provided winter interest as promised. Deer won’t touch them.
-Spring 2014, plants cut back during new mulching for the season in april.

An ornamental grass with fine-textured foliage and slender, upright arching stalks, ‘Gracillimus’ has a handsome, rounded overall form. Tolerant of moist soils. Useful for tall background, screening or massing. Good for cuttings.
