As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: Nice texture, pink with red lip,usually blooms in multiple 3-5 buds per sheath. Prolific and fragrant. 5-6” diameter flowers on new growth. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A KEY FEATURES: fertilize during gorwing season.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Plant arrived from Hawaii in 2.5” plastic pot with medium orchiata mix. About 1.5 to 2 yrs. from blooming size. Jan. 2016: (1) 3” clay pot. Doing well. Feb. 2017:(1) clay 3”R July 2017:(1) removed from tree branch that fell, to Grapevine section C, top Up branch. Last plant at the up branch top. Total (1) plant. April 3, 2018: Plant not grabbing mount, removed and into a 2” aircone pot. March 2019: plant Dead.
