Hybrid: C. aclandiae x Epi. cordigera

A cross of two primary species producing huge and plentiful quantities of flowers with a hearty, spicy scent.

Ample water during active growing season, less water in winter.

High humidity as long as adequate air circulation.

LIGHT: filtered light, medium. Most light tolerant of the species

WATER: moist, well drained.

SOIL: Pot in Orchiata mix with a slight angle for drainage of the crown.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:   3-4” diameter flowers on 6-12” stems.
Hundreds of purple dark blooms


FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

Purchased in 2.5” plastic with medium Orchiata mix. Kept as received. Two years to maturity.
Jan. 2016: (1) 3” clay pot. Doing well.
