As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: White with purple lip. Strong perfume fragrance. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A KEY FEATURES: fertilize during gorwing season. Single tall narrow leaf per pseudobulb/stem.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Plant arrived from Hawaii in 4” plastic pot with medium orchiata mix. 1.5 to 2 yrs. from blooming size. Damaged leaves, most likely due to trauma during transport. Otherwise it looks healthy. Jan. 2016:(1) 4” clay pot. Doing well. Feb. 2017:(1) clay 4.5”/O June 2020: forming 2 potential blooms. Dec. 1, 2021: Large beautiful bloom. Nov. 4, 2023: Down sized to 3” clay pot/ s. moss. Plant leaves very dry.
