Two plants that to my eye look identical, no tags in either but the price was right.


Both plants have identical blooms once they flower. Combined in one container.

Phalaenopsis type flower.


Hybrid: Plant without label.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: tall canes ~2-3 ft.

PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen GROWTH RATE: slow
TEXTURE: fine
LIGHT: filtered light, low to medium. Intermediate to warm temperature.

WATER: moist well, drained, do not allow to dry completely.
high humidity 60-70 %

SOIL: potted in sm.-medium orchiata mix.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: Tall spikes with pink/darker vein stripes. Long lasting and persistent bloomer year around.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

KEY FEATURES:hard cane type, large  evergreen.

Plant purchased in 4” inch round plastic pot with moss and large coconut bark chunks. Tall and thick stems, both plants about 1 ft. tall
Potted both plants together in one 6” orchid clay pot with 3/8-1/2” size orchiata mix.
Sept. (1 of 2) plants blooming (A), in same pot.
-Jan. 2016 (1 of 2) plants blooming (B), in same pot.
Plants I believe are of the same variety. Color of photos below differ due to light/photographic quality. ( A & B will be simply #941)
-Feb. 2017: Both plants into one clay 6”/short
-Jan. 2019: Plant became very large and top heavy. Removed clay pot and place the plants as one root ball into a 9” WB with orchiata mix. In bloom.
-Nov. 2020: downsize plant into a 8”/shallow WB, reduced volume of orchiata by 1/2. Plant stay wet to long and encouraged fungus.
-Oct. 2023: Down size plant into 6” WBk.
