As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: 3 to 6 4” blooms per stock. Blooms are white with a ruffled fushia lip and yellow center. Spring bloomer. Fragrant. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A KEY FEATURES: treat as cattleyas, hight indirect light, low moisture. Warm temperatures.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Plant arrived from Hawaii in 4” plastic pot with orchiata mix. Plant arrived with two large blooms open and 2 more sheaths forming. January 2016:(1) 6” woodbasket with two sheaths forming blooms. Feb. 2017: (1) WB 6”, with 3 buds not yet open. Feb. 2019: 5 blooms open at one time in two stems. Oct. 2023: divided plant into 2 sections. Both mounted @ GT/ ~4 ft. up Nov. 26, 2023: Discarded div. #2/Dead. Div. #1 removed from GT, mounted @ GV/ midlle section B Jan 14, 2024: Div #1/ DEAD, removed from GV/sect B. NO Plants Left.
