Also known as Angraecum distichum. A native of tropical Africa, it growns on large trees in rain forests as a miniature to small sized. Climate hot and humid. Lockhartia-like epiphyte from elevations 200 to 1600 meters.

Pollinated by moths, the flowers are white easily seen at night and fragrant.

BLOOMS:   solitary flowered inflorescence with a long-lived, tiny (1/2 cm), fragrant flower occuring in the summer on new leaves and most often more than one. White & fragrant during evening and night.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: Cuttings made of side branches will root out quickly if potted in a standard bark mix with high humidity and fairly heavy shade.

KEY FEATURES: Slow grower. Fertilize 1/month, do not like roots disturbed.

Plant arrived from Hawaii 2” clay ot packed in moss & bark ?
Jan. 2015: (1) 2” clay with moss. Keep plant in clay bottom plate with frequent water. So far so good.
-Feb 13, 2015: first bloom.
-January 2016: (1) 2” clay. Abundant flowers during fall. Oct 2016, mounted in wood piece, it flower abundantly and during winter deteriorated loosing many leaves. Pay attention to water needs.
-Feb 2017: (1) wood mount/ boot shape. Seems stable.
