A nothogenus comprising those intergeneric hybrids of orchids which have Brassavola, Cattleya, Laelia and Sophronitis as parent genera.



Hybrid: T- 4917

Color: 4 1/2 inch cream colored flowers with bold yellow flaring. Attractive ruffled red lip. Fragrant.

GROWTH RATE: Moderate
TEXTURE: bold
LIGHT: filtered light, medium. Most light tolerant of the species

WATER: moist, well drained.

SOIL: Pot in Orchiata mix.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:   Two flowers on one inflorescence; sepals and petals white overlaid with rose; yellow flares extending the length of the segments; lip maroon with burnt orange eyes and striations in the throat; substance firm; texture matte.
Fragrant.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

KEY FEATURES: flowers remain for 2-3 months and repeat frequently. Single leaf per pseudobulb.

Plants arrived from Hawaii in a 4” plastic pot in Bark.
-Jan. 2015:(1)4” clay pot, (1)4” plastic pot.
-Sept. 2015: (1) 4” clay pot plant in bloom.
-Jan. 2016: (1) 4.5”clay pot in bloom, plus (1)2” plastic almost dead plant.
-Nov. 15, 2017: (#908-2) new plant mounted on Figure 8 Bottom circle.
-Feb. 2017: (#908-1) clay 4.5” conical. Jan. 8, 2018 moved to 4” Wood basket with Orchiata.
Total of (2) plants.
May 2018: (#908-1) DEAD. Total of (1) plant left.
