As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: Long spike coming from the top of cane with spray of small reddish/brown with yellow center flowers. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A, propagate by division. KEY FEATURES: Long narrow leaves on very long canes growing straight up together from the center. Tall and narrow plant.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Plant arrived from Hawaii in a 4” plastic pot in bark. Aug.2014 Repotted in 5” orchid clay pot with Orchiata mix. Jan. 2015 with spikes since Oct. 2014, no blooms yet open. Several flowers open Feb. 7, 2015 Jan. 2016:(1) 5.5” short clay pot. Feb. 2017:(1) WB 8”
