A cattleya Alliance of:Bl. Richard Mueller x Blc. Goldenzelle. 

AM/AOS awarded hybrid with 4 inch sunny yellow flowers & attractive spotted lips on a pseudobulb that is no more than 10".  Most of the time B. nodosa imparts anemic petals/sepals, but these are full.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: 6-9” x 10-14”

PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen

GROWTH RATE: Fast
TEXTURE: bold

LIGHT: filtered light, high

WATER: let dry before watering again, about 1/wk.
high humidity 60-70 %

SOIL: Pot in Orchiata mix
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:   4 inch sunny yellow with attractive dark red spotted lip. Sheath opens with a tall stem from the leaf center.


FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.


KEY FEATURES: Fast grower and compact. Pseudobulbs no more than 10” tall. 
Unifoliate Cattleya.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

Plant arrived from Hawaii in a 4” plastic pot in bark. One spike with one sheath no yet open.
Flower open Aug. 16, 2014
Nov. 2014: moved to 4” clay pot.
Jan. 2015: (1) 4” clay pot, doing well.
Jan. 2016: (1) 4” clay pot, doing well.
Feb. 2017: (1) clay 4”/O. 
April 2018: Re-pot Up into 6” clay pot with ceramic beads.
Sept. 3, 2023: removed from double clay pot, overgrown. Divided into 3 pieces.(#1) 6”/short clay, (#2) 5”/short clay, (#3) 4.5”/short clay.
Note: All too large to mount
