Purchased after blooming time at discount, plant came without a tag.

Plant looks to me to be a Miltonia or Miltoniopsis(?) will have to wait until it blooms.

After first blooms, the plant is a Miltoniopsis, known as the Pansy Orchid for the flower similarity.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: medium

PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen
GROWTH RATE: Moderate
TEXTURE: bold
LIGHT: filtered light, medium. Most light tolerant of the species

WATER: moist, well drained. 
high humidity 60-70 %
SOIL: Pot in small fir bark or small Orchiata mix.
Adding some S. moss to mix helps to keep moisture retention.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:   White with stron center dark pink markins and a yellow center. Pansy like shape with rounded shape and rounded dorsal petals. Blooms are extermely scented of perfume lasting about 5-8 weeks.


FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

KEY FEATURES: Bring indoors when in bloom for a strong fragrance in the room.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

Purchased in 4” round and tall orchids plastic pot. Medium(?) well packed, many roots. Left as is. Water when almost dry, about once/week. Keep leaves dry and watch for new roots from new shoots, then, fertilize heavily.
Almost dead, placed in a clay pot 2.5” with s. moss.
Feb. 2017: (1) clay 2.5”. One pseudobulb and two tiny new growths.
