As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: Orange Red Blush with a bright orange lip. Large bloom, about 5” across. Long spike with at least 8 blooms. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A, propagate by division. KEY FEATURES: flowers remain for 2-3 months and repeat frequently.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Purchased in 4” round” plastic pot with S. moss, at discounted price. Removed the moss and repotted in 4” aircone pot with medium Orchiata mix. Re-pot up : 5”aircone pot. Roots exceeding pot, top and bottom. Larger pot will prevent drying too fast during summer months.(1/03/15). With spike. First bloom open Feb. 14, 2015 Jan. 2016:(1) 5” aircone pot, doing well. Feb. 2017: (1)AC 5”, first phal. to open blooms this year. Long lasting and huge plant and flower. May 14, 2022: (1) AC 6”, new orchiata/ repotted. Feb. 2023: Plant deteriorated and perish. DEAD
