Pot. = Potinara, a cattleya hybrid. The Elaine Taylor parent is a mid-sized plant with exceptional deep red purple flowers crossed with the very floriferous John Passander 'Goldilocks'.

As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS:Award winning 4 inch deep red on compact growing plants. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A, propagate by division. KEY FEATURES:large long thick leaf in short small pseudobulbs.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Plant received 2.5” sq. plastic pot with bark. -Mounted wood trellis A, (3X,5Y) to the left 3X (Dec. 31, 2012) -3/25/13 removed from mount and placed in 2.5” plastic pot with Orchiata -January 2014: (1) 4” clay pot. -Jan. 2015: (1) 6” wooden basket, doing well. -Jan. 2016: (1) 6” w basket, doing very poorly. extensive rot, now controlled. will see if some new growth appears in spring.
