Laelia cattleyas are many combinations of Laelia and cattleya parents, I do not know the parent history of this particular one. I will treat it as Cattleya.

As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:Large semi-alba.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.


KEY FEATURES:Stiff thick long leaves emerging from a short pseudobulb, one per bulb.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

Plant received 2.5” plastic pot with bark. Long roots outside pot.
-Mounted wood trellis C, (4X,3.5Y), inside 8”x”8  shallow basket (Dec. 31, 2012)
-3/25/13 removed from mount and placed in 2” plastic pot with Orchiata.
-January 2014: (1) 4” clay pot.
Jan. 2015: (1) 4” clay pot, doing well.
Jan. 2016: (1) 4” clay pot, doing well.
Feb. 2017: Plant not found/ dead.
