This type of hybrid will most likely adapt to the same care of Cattleyas.


Hybrid: T-4556  &  CAO32

As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS:3-4 inch yellow with lavender flaring and lip. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A, propagate by division. KEY FEATURES:single leaf in elongated pseudobulb.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Plants (2) received in 2 1/2” plastic pot with bark. -Mounted (1) on wood trellis D, (3X,1Y) left of cross point (Dec. 31, 2012) -Mounted (1) on wood trellis C, (1X,4Y) right of 1X (Jan. 1, 2013) --3/25/13 both removed from trellis, placed in individual 2.5” plastic pot with Orchiata. -January 2014:(2) 4” clay pots. A total of (2) plants. -July 2014: moved (1) 4” clay into (1) 4” wooden basket. -Jan. 2015: (1) 4” clay, (1) 4” wooden basket. Total (2) plants -Nov. 2015: wooden basket plant dead, only (1) clay pot remains. Jan. 2016: (1) 4” clay pot. -Feb. 2017: (1) clay 3”R, mounted on wood tree June 2017 -July 2017: Dead/ removed Jan. 2, 2020: New 2.5” pot plant. Mounted on F8/ lower circle, outer ring back side. -August 2023: Plant DEAD/removed. Showed signs of infestation boisduval scale.
