As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: 5 inch orange with contrasting lavender lip.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

25 plugs, about 4” leaf length plants, received bare root.
-Mounted 12 plugs per side on  24” long cedar plank with S. moss backing.
-Few tiny extra plants place in small pots with small Orchiata mix.
-May 27, 2013, demounted plants from board because they grew poorly. laced in 2”, 3” & 4” plastic pots with Orchiata, depelding on the size. Some 2 to 3 plants per pot. About 20 plants recovered.
-January 2014: (6) 3” aircone pots, (4) 4” clay pots. A total of (10) plants survived. Water once/wk, do well in clay pots with bound roots and med-high sun exposure.
-Jan. 2015:(1) 4” wooden basket, (3) 4” clay pots, (5) 2.5” aircone pots.
Total of 9 plants. August 2015, (2) clay pot, Dead. Total of 7 plants.
-Jan. 2016:  (1) 4” wood basket, (2) 4” clay, (1) 2” plastic, (2) 2.5” aircone. Total of (6) plants.
-Feb. 2017: (1) clay 4” O, (1) WB 4”
-July 2017: 4” WB moved to Wood Tree main trunk /last down
