Phalaenopsis, vary popular orchids, easy to care for and long durability of their blooms. This one came as a FREE bonus, the flower stated as “large Pink” . Now that is has blooms, they are more dark fuschia than pink.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: 6 inches x 6 inches PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen GROWTH RATE: Moderate TEXTURE: bold LIGHT: filtered light, only. WATER: moist but well drained, high humidity 60-70 % SOIL: Pot in Orchid mix using plastic or ceramic pots. Clay pots retains to much salt and may dry too fast
As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: 1.5” diameter flowers, Dark fuschia/pink. in arrays of about 9 flowers per spike. First flowering the plant has two full 12” spikes.
 FRUIT AND SEED: N/A, propagate by division. KEY FEATURES: solid green color leaves.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch One FREE plant received on 4” pot with shipment of 3 plug/trays. -Plant is in 6” pot. Blooms open April 25, 2013 -January 2014:(1) 6” aircone pot -Down size to (1) 4” aircone pot, encourages root growth. Doing well. -Jan. 2015 doing well. - Jan. 2016: doing well, with spike. -Feb. 2017: (1) AC 5” . July 2018: Repotted same AC 5” Summer 2020: Potted in Ceramic/ heavy/ white. July 2023: Remove from ceramic into Large Cork cylinder /Phals/ Top section.
