Doritaenopsis (Dtps.) are hybrids that exhibit all the desire trades of popular orchids, special durability of their blooms and  many color combinations. This one, a compact plant with multiple blooms on a pink lavender color.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: 6 inches x 6 inches 
PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen
GROWTH RATE: Moderate
TEXTURE: bold
LIGHT: filtered light, only.

WATER: moist but well  drained, 
high humidity 60-70 %
SOIL: Pot in Orchid mix using plastic or ceramic pots. Clay pots retains to much salt and may dry too fast
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: Branching spikes of dark pink lavender flowers. Excellent round form. Compact plants.


FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.


KEY FEATURES: solid green color leaves.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

One FREE plant received on 4” pot with shipment of 3 plug/trays.
-Dec. 15, 2012. Bare-root plant with substantial roots. Placed in 4” plastic pot with  large Orchiata mix.
-Feb. 2013, 1 plant receive 2.5” plastic pot  in moss with spike ready to bloom. Moved to 4” plastic with Orchiata mix.
-Plant in full bloom April 2013
-January 2014: (2) 4” plastic pots, (1) 5” aircone pot. A total of (3) plants.
-June 2014: all (3) plants moved to Large cream color ceramic pot.
-Jan. 2015: doing well, in spike.
-Jan. 2016: (1) 4” aircone pot, only one pot found.
Feb, 2017: (1) AC 3.5”
