A native of Thailand. Selfing of a beautiful form of this popular species. Much larger flowers and plants than var. thailandense (WSO 3722)

PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen
GROWTH RATE: Moderate
TEXTURE: medium
LIGHT: filtered light, only.

WATER: moist but well  drained, 
high humidity 60-70 %
SOIL: Pot in Orchid mix using plastic or ceramic pots. Clay pots retains to much salt and may dry too fast. Favor fine bark as media
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: withe, burgundy and a hint of green

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

Received “in Flask” quoted about 8 plants. Will keep seal for few more weeks.
-9/02/2012, potted (9)seedlings in 2.5” pot with damp moss wetted with diluted fertilizer. Few very small seedlings back into the flask with original agar and sealed. I will monitor growth as a test, in my experience those tiny seedling out of flask do not make it.
-Jan. 2013 moved several seedling into individual 2” pots with sm orchiata mix.
January 2014: All seedlings dead. I am not ready to care for out of flask plants, specially in the heat of the summer, perhaps next try I do it inside my home.
