As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: pale lavender/pink- white with yellow center FRUIT AND SEED: N/A, propagate by division. KEY FEATURES: alternated long leaves on pseudo bulb
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Happy has been adding orchids to my collection from her’s sister’s collection in Georgia. Once her plant finish flowering, the plant comes into my care. I have manage to make them bloom again. I’m learning. -Plant came potted in 6” clay pot with bark/mix, just after blooms drop. -Mounted directly on wooden trellis, it did not survive my erratic care. -July 2017: new (#1) plant in 2.5” pot, removed and mounted on Cork Tower/ section 2. *(DEAD: Jan. 2019/ removed) -April 2018: New plant arrived in 3” plastic pot with bark. April 2018: (#2) Repotted into 3” clay/R with ceramics. Jan. 2019: No (0) plants found anywhere. March 2019: (#1) in 2.5” plastic pot Mounted @ CBT/Trunk section 1 (top) March 13, 2022: First bloom March 14, 2024 (#2) @ GT/4.5 ft. up facing door, on spike. Total of (2) plants at CBT & GT
