Philodendrons are mostly climbing plants, and are among the most common and easy-to grow houseplants.Velvet Leaf is a colorful and attractive vine. The leaves have a velvety texture, and have an iridescent bronze green color on top, with a reddish brown color underneath. Leaves are heart shaped and about 5-10cm in length.

WARNING: sap of plant is highly irritant causing severe skin rash. use protection to handle any cuttings/trims.

-Plant grew will during warm summer months in large planter with moist soil.
-After flood the leaves show burn/yellow tips, perhaps a fungus?
-multi stems crowd leaves. As soon as warm weather is stable I will prune to one to three stems and attempt to recover plant growth.

Comments: I use this plant as a sun screen for my orchids. It took me several severe skin rashes to realize that the sap of this plant is the culprid. Because of it I will have to discard it. Otherwise I like the plant.
