Tropical placed in a large planter to create a tropical forest feel, provide shade and color to complement the new orchids that are now hanging in the glasshouse.


Plant has very attractive flowers.

PLANT TYPE: Tropical -Evergreen
GROWTH RATE: Moderate
TEXTURE: medium
LIGHT: filtered light, only.

WATER: moist well, drained, 
high humidity 60-70 %

SOIL: organic well drain
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: white with black purplish strings

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

Plant like moist soil and it is growing fast and healthy in a extra large container along other tropicals.
Fertilize once per week.
-Plant perish during hurricane flood august 2011.
Plant appeared relatively easy to grow, I will consider it again in a none flood Zone.
-March 3, 2017: (2) new rhizomes potted along with (1) black in a 12” clay pot
with a mixture of (Coir, prof. soil, perlite and small fir bark), few large Orchiata chunks at bottom of pot.
NOTE: Late March 2017, Easytogrowbulbs sent me the previous order again
(their error) so I have (4) white and (2) black. Second set planted in individual gallon clay pots with coir mix.
July 2017:Plants in coir mix stay to wet. All plants Dead.
