Orchid - #631Dendrobium Phalaenopsis

Orchid - #631  Den. Phal. (Keiki)

                                          ID#631

The name of this orchid is NOT “Keiki”. Keiki means “Baby” in Hawaii, this orchid, a “rooted off shoot is the mother plant is known as such, however the type of orchid it came from is unidentify.

Happy Williams introduce me to the term with this nice present.

This shoot grew from the mother plant flower stem rather than the root base. I have seen this happen in some of my daylilies.
