A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch
Plant came in a 6 - 8” pot, very full. I transferred plant to a 8” wooden basket. One small portion separated, that has been anchored to the Orchid trellis with some moss around it.
-Basket and cutting are close to the house ceiling so receive plenty of filtered light.
January 2012 a single stem of flowers from on bulb emerge and lasted for about 2-3 weeks.
July 2012, dismounted plant, divided and mount again without media: original location plus multi- places in trellis B and D and in wooden basket and clay pot. Hope all survive.
Jan. 16, 13 consolidate clay pots and wood basket plants in 6”x6” basket.
Trellis plants do not show many roots but look alive, now that humidity is more uniform due to humidifier, they may grow quicker.
Jan 2014: (1) 8” wood basket, (1) 6” wood basket, (1) small ceramic.
Jan. 2016: all doing well, few spikes emerging..
Feb. 2017: (#630-1) 8” wood basket, (#630-2) sm. ceramic blue rectangle, (#630-3) wood root mount. Total of 3 containers.
