This plant, along with 24 other where given to me the previous owners moved out of town and no longer could care for them. I have never met the Cochran’s, but I have a glasshouse that can accommodate the plants.

TEXTURE: bold
LIGHT: filtered light, only.

WATER: water, let dry before water again.
high humidity 60-70 %

SOIL: Pot in coarse chunks of fir or 
redwood bark and/or hardwood charcoal
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: flowers......

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch
This plant, along with 24 others where given to me by my neighbor, the previous owners “The Cochran’s” which I never met  moved out of town and no longer could care for them. About half of the Collection  still had plant name/description and sometimes nursery of origin. Very helpful information to guide me into their care.
So my education begins.....

Plant potted in ceramic pot with bark.
* Divided into two plants and mounted in Wood trellis C & D.
Both plants removed from trellis during spring 2013. (1) potted in 6”plastic pot with orchiata mix, (1) in 4” wooden basket with orchiata mix.
Jan. 2014: (1) 6” plastic pot, (1) 4” plastic pot.
Dec. 2014 Bloom open, broken off soon after by holiday helper.
Jan. 2015:(1) 6” round plastic pot, (1) 4” wood basket, both doing well.
Jan. 2016: 6” pot plant with spike.
Feb. 2017: (#615-2) 4” and (#615-1) 6” wood Baskets. Both blooming.
April 2022: Plant #2 (4” WBk) DEAD. Total of (1) remaining.
August 2023: (#615-1) 6” Wbasket, discarded due to severe infestation and deterioration from boisduval scale.
