A tropical plant’s nursery in Danielson, CT

Known as the "Banana Shrub" for its delightfully sweet, banana-like floral fragrance, this Chinese member of the Magnolia family blooms all year. It is most heavily laden with 2" creamy yellow and blushed purple flowers in late winter and early spring.

Although it may survive the outdoors in our zone, I plan to keep it in the Glasshouse.

As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: 2” creamy yellow and blushed purple flowers all year around, most heavily laden in late winter and early spring. Fragrant. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A KEY FEATURES: Leaves are green and shiny/waxy on a open branch structure.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Arrived in 2.5” pot about 4-6” tall. Re-potted in 8” clay pot using Metromix and fertilized with “Multicote 4” (14-14-16 & minerals, slow release/4 month). Plant perish after hurricane flood august 2011
