I know next to nothing about this plant, only that it is a succulent and that it caught my eye while visiting Atlantic Ave. Orchid center in Raleigh, NC


The unusual flat leaves, vertically flat I have never seen in another plant.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: 12 ft x 5 ft

PLANT TYPE: Succulent - Tropical ?

GROWTH RATE: Moderate

TEXTURE: Medium

LIGHT: part shade to full sun

WATER: moist medium

SOIL: high Organic, well drain
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: N/A


FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A


KEY FEATURES: Interesting leaf shape and color.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

    Just 3 months in the glasshouse, this plant appears to be off easy care. Repotted once it showed very good root system.
I found this plant very interesting. I could never identify it, the ususual direction in which the leaves grew, I have never come across any other as such, unfortunately the plant perish during the hurricane flood august 2011.

If I find it again, I will try one more time.
