The complete name of this conifer is Abies pinsapo var. marocana 'Marokko'. It is a miniature size tree formerly know as Witches Broom # 3’.


This is my second Spanish fir in the yard, I like the color of their needles and shape of the branches.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: 1 ft x 1 ft

PLANT TYPE: Conifer evergreen Tree / Miniature

GROWTH RATE: slow

TEXTURE: fine

LIGHT: Sun to part shade

WATER: moist

SOIL: high Organic
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: N/A


FRUIT  AND  SEED: pinecones, not yet observed.


KEY FEATURES: miniature tree with very nice tight needles around straight branches forming cylinders.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

    This tree is new to the yard. Grafted, it is only few inches tall.
I applied Mycorrhizal fungi (MycoGrow Hydro) to the soil around the roots at the time of planting.
