Additional Information: Purchase at Flowers & Things. Bayboro, NC

Mezoo Livingstone daisy is a sprawling to mounding plant with succulent green leaves edged with white occasionally accented with button-sized red flowers in spring. This annual succulent is from South Africa’s Cape Provinces.

I have been growing it as a hanging plant all year round inside Glasshouse and it is a wonderful addition for a very small price & care.

trailing/ vine like/prostrate

PLANT TYPE: annual (See note below)*

GROWTH RATE: fast

TEXTURE: fine

LIGHT: Full sun to part shade
WATER: drought tolerant, average

SOIL: loam, sand, tolerates salt, well drain
As observed in Coastal NC.

FRUIT AND SEED: N/A, propagates easily by stem cuttings.

KEY FEATURES: A good choice for protected containers anytime. Use Livingstone daisy as a prostrate annual, a trailing filler in a container or hanging basket, or as a warm-window houseplant with bright light.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch
Placed in a hanging basket during summer outdoors, in glasshouse during winter.
-During winter and probably because I do not give it the amount of water it needs it developed a infestation of aphids which I rinsed with water and then spray with insecticidal soap. Problem is mainly on top and close to soil. I suspect when the sun appears reliable again the problem will be gone.
-Fertilize 2x month (20-20-20)

Note: (2012-2013) Plant survived outdoors thru winter in ground bed #3, slight protection by large viburnum. Plant kept leaves and stems year round.

- I am now utilizing this plant as ground cover of empty spaces: bed #3, bed #2, bed #14 so far.
